Lust

What else can make humans act like such fools?
What can bring the strongest and brightest to their knees?
This feeling embedded in all of us.
A feeling that drives us through our school years and further.
Something that binds people together.
And more often tears them apart.
And yet we run around because of it time after time.

Gluttony

Why does this happen when it is so frowned upon?
Even after organization after organization is created to stop it.
We harass people who show it.
We pity people who don't even have the chance to dream about it.
How are people able to indulge themselves this much?
Are they too preoccupied with their material things that they lose their morals?
What about a surplus of items changes people?

Greed

This drives all people to their demise.
It is part of every young person's dream to make it big someday.
This leads to a lot of decisions that people regret.
Some go so far to give themselves away.
People do some desperate things to move up in rankings.
But no matter how hard we fight it it always comes back to us.
It is just human to want to be famous and pampered.

Sloth

Why are we so lazy in this day and age?
Shouldn't this be the time were we advance at a faster pace?
Yet it only seems like some of us do.
While the other cruise by on their achievements.
Why do we just sit here getting fatter?
Why do we just collect dust?
Why do we allow ourselves to be so useless?

Wrath

Something that is so easy to fall too.
Something that destroys so many relationships.
The line between that and anger is so easy to cross.
Something that all of us do time to time.
Why do we fall subject to such a destructive emotion?
Why can't we control our hatred?
Can't we just all get along?

Envy

Why can't we be satisfied with what we are?
Why can't we be satisfied with what we have?
Why are we all so insecure about ourselves?
So many teens are falling subject to the influence of the media.
We all envy the pretty and the smart.
Why can't we just find the light in ourselves?
Why do we all just need to be perfect?

Pride

This brings the greatest of heroes to their down falls.
This proves that too much of a good thing is indeed bad.
It is so good go be confident.
But so bad to be arrogant.
The line between the two are very blurred.
And can easily be skipped back and forth on.
Even the greatest minds fall subject to this folly.
